Mushroom & Swiss Turkey Burger
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 4 oz. mini bella mushrooms, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley or 2 tbsp. dried parsley flakes
- 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh chives or 1 tbsp. dried chives, divided
- 1 (1.2-lb.) pkg. ground turkey
- 1/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 4 wheat hamburger rolls, toasted
- 4 slices Borden® Hickory Smoked Swiss Singles Sensations®
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tsp. Dijon mustard
- 4 Bibb lettuce leaves
- (Makes 4 servings)
Directions
MELT butter in a skillet over medium heat. ADD mushrooms, parsley and 2 tablespoons chives; SEASON with salt and pepper. COOK and STIR 5-8 minutes until mushrooms are softened; COOL 10-15 minutes. In a large bowl, COMBINE turkey, mushroom mixture, bread crumbs, egg and garlic; SEASON with salt and pepper. DIVIDE mixture into 4 equal portions; FORM into patties about 1/2-inch thick. PREHEAT grill to medium (300ºF to 350ºF). COAT grill rack with nonstick cooking spray. GRILL patties 6-7 minutes per side or until instant-read thermometer registers 165°F; TOP each with 1 slice Borden® Hickory Smoked Swiss Singles Sensations® . GRILL 1 minute until cheese begins to melt. REMOVE from grill. COMBINE mayonnaise, remaining 2 tablespoons chives and mustard. SPREAD mayonnaise mixture over bottom half of each roll; TOP with lettuce, patty and remaining roll half. SERVE immediately.
